Water seal Lub????????

Can someone tell me what kind on Lub to put on the O Ring on water units so thay can seal good?????
Mic58 Thanks All,

iv been useing plumber's silicone grease for years and works great.you can get it at Lowes plum dept..

The recommended lube is silicone, and it only needs a slight film on the o-ring.

The lube Does Not help seal the unit from water leakage. Water pressure is about 1/2 pound for every foot it goes under water. No amount of grease could seal it. It's the o-ring that is the seal.

The lube film is on the o-ring to keep it soft, and flexible so it can scoot around in the grove without being pinched.

Lube on the o-ring has a bad habit of attracting fine dirt & sand, so think lightly as in just a film.
