waterproofing of TDI coil vs Jimmy coil?

Reggie

New member
(1) I wonder which, if either, TDI coil is really waterproof enough to submerge. Several guys who have posted on the internet reported several of the factory TDI coils to have failed when used in or around water. Factory literature might indicate it is waterproof, but the standard coil has apparently failed due to wet conditions. Anyone here have such an experience?

(2) I would like to know from someone who has used the Jimmy Sierra "Jimmy" coil in wet conditions (for the coil) to know if this coil is really waterproof. (I know the machine is NOT waterproof.)

Thank you very much.

Would think the factory coil is wateroof no problem. Made like all the rest of the whites coils have submerged them at the beach many times with no trouble. Headed to the beach soon with my tdi have no worries with getting the coil wet. Whites is a great company no worries. If it does leak send it to them they will send you a new one.
