Well, with a long weekend it was time to climb down from the ladder & "git it Dun" colonial style. I decided to try a foundation site that was "hunted out". BUt, I knew it was fulla iron so I wanted to clean it out & see what was masked...if anything. The story will be below in pictures.....Step one was to wack down some brush & ferns with a sickle. Then I raked some leaf litter outta the way to get to the soil. I used the Excel with disc on -34 to begin to get some of the bigger iron outta the way. First target was a colonial, hand forged door latch. Bonus! See some colonial iron relics can be keepers, another reason to "GIt R Done"
Next I broke for lunch
Then I sl0wly swung over the cleared area. Hard work paid off with a colonial, hand engraved silver shoe buckle
