I'm fairly new to this forum. Detected a 1940-50's house site south of B'ham. This was my second chinese coin. The other round is an Alabama sales tax token. The ring is sterling. Found the unknown object with s & c last week in eastern AL and would like to id it. I posted it on the relic forum last week. Tony NC posted a better pic of one he found. HH Gary

Craig, I retired last year and we moved to an area a few miles south of B'ham this summer. Now it's honeydos and detecting. I'm fanning out looking for good spots and trying to learn this land hunting stuff. I've been primarily an ocean/beach/water hunter the last 5 years. Where abouts are you?
