I haven't posted in a while because I've been a little busy. I had a chance to do a little coin hunting this weekend. I ended up with a first. I usually don't find any silver coins when I'm hunting places that I've hunted over and over, but Friday I ended up with a 1941-D Mercury dime and in another site I picked up a 1911 Barber dime and today a another site I found a 1952-D and a 1962-D Rosie. Dimes 19, quarters 3, 44 memorial pennies, 8 wheat pennies. I had disc. set on 80 because the areas were trashy. I'm beginning to figure out how to hunt the trashy areas. You have to cut your sweep speed in half or less and listen for repeatable signals. I'm sure I'm missing some good targets because some of these areas a very trashy. Its really fun to go into these trashy sites with the T2 and find coins that you couldn't find with other detectors. The site I hit today was so trashy that it was hard to find a place to ground balance. The Rosies and wheaties came out of this area.
The photos of the silver coins are too big to load so I'll see if I can reduce the size and post them.
