Weekend Treasures!!

Some kind of cool finds for the weekend. The "dirt widow" (wife) is seriously getting down on the man and his metal detecting addiction. Actually, corn and bean harvest is starting so I will be working long hours and not see much of the family, so she wants me to spend more time with the family instead of playing in the dirt. Ok, that's cool, the soil is bone dry. So a 5 hour expedition on Saturday morning led to these results. 2 tokens. A copper-clad crank club token, which is adorned with swastikas and four leaf clovers. swastikas were good luck or peace symbols, from what i gather, before Hitler bastardized them. The other token was for a free bar of "crystal white" soap from the palmolive-peet company. 18, 40, 46d, 44d, and 58d wheats. ONE SILVER DIME! 41 merc. and a turkish penny from 49. So, probably the last weekend for treasure hunting. Next, deer hunting, pheasant, quail and boar in the spring, and when the ground thaws, back to the treasure!

Cool finds!! Did you know Colgate Palmolive has been around for over 110yrs? I would imagine it is the same company as your token because of the soap. My wife is a dirt widow once in awhile. And I would say as far as addictions go this is a good one!! Ron
