I went away for the weekend and on my way home took the back roads and stopped at at least 10 parks and schools to hunt. If stuff jumped out of the ground immediately I hunted for 1/2 hour. I had 150 miles to drive and the only disappointment of the day was the park I have dreamed about hunting was already home to 2 other detectors so I moved on. I wasn't in the mood to talk or I would have stopped and asked what they had found. One huge school is potentially a great site but I couldn't come up with a specific place to really concentrate on so I will have to go back when I have more time. The final site was the best and by that time I was really ready for some never hunted bark chips which is what I found. I was on the road for 6 1/2 hours and figure I hunted about 4 hours. Mostlyl clad. One Kennedy half. Some bullets. Half a toy handcuff. One wheat. Like I said, I didn't give any of the sites enough time. What a mess of clad, though. All from Sunday.
Had one run in with a family who were bike riding on a track that had a huge sign that read "Absolutely No Bicycles on the Running Surface." It ended with them telling me to mind my own business and me telling them that if they were teaching their children a bad lesson by disregarding a clearly posted rule.
Why am I posting now? Sunday when I was up to posting the forum was down. Then I came down with about a 36 hour virus that had me stuck in bed until late this morning when I managed to drag my sorry butt to work.
