Well I did it!

After picking all of your brains and expertise for the past couple weeks, I ordered the Deus today and yes I did get the control panel. I am both excited and nervous to give this a try. I have been pretty much a Minelab only person for quite a few years so I have some learning to do. I will keep my CTX, but intend on putting it away for a bit to concentrate on my new machine. So here we go on a brand new adventure.

Well done. Expect more noise than a MineLab machine and have patience.

Just used mine fore the first time Sunday...adjustments are all straight forward, but yes indeed, more noise...gonna take awhile to wrap my head around the audio.Tried it out at a hard hit park...only got one "good" find, a wheatie at 8" but a no brainer and surprisingly loud signal...I actually called it out as a coin. Other than that alot of chasing around falses

I used mine in a ball field this evening and it was quiet as a mouse. I could change the program and go for everything and make some noise but wanted just an easy coin/jewelry hunt. No digging deep today. With the right program you can calm it down. But yes it can talk alot. You will be fine.

If you give it a chance and learn what it tells you, you are going to LVOE this machine!

Buy Andys book,

Jim

On my second read of Andy's book, he keeps saying how simple it is, but it sure looks complicated to me. I remember when I thought that about the CTX also, so I will just take it slow and try to figure it out a little bit at a time.
