Bought a pristine unit from a forum member.. Maybe get to try it out this weekend..

One question, when you do the factory reset/retune, what does the screen look like when performing the function?? This one blinks, but doesn't say anything to say its been reset... Is that right??

That's normal---the F-19 does the same thing.

Yes, left side blinks - Volume, Sens, Notch.

I discover strange thing.
My mistake and I hold MODE buton and turn ON, symbol "01" appears on screen.
What's that ?? Anyone knows ?? DST mode ON or something ??

Ground cond here in Ohio are concrete hard... Had it up to a Lake Erie beach last weekend, tried it out for about 40 minutes but the sands are loaded with iron and babbit, so its performance there was less then spectacular.. Went back to use the cz-20 to finish the hunt with much better results..

That's it for now.

For me F44 is a great machine for that money.
Very versatible detector - coils from F11/F22/F5/19/GB and Teknetics greek series fits to that detector (screw-in plug).
Detection depth is very close to XP Deus machine with 11" coil, some coins got better signals than in Deus.
I'm tested it hand to hand with XP and F44 won first battle.
I found tiny stuff like 2-3 mm piece of copper, lead or aluminium.
I'm shocked :surprised:

I use Custom program with my favourite tone settings
ground about 66-67
sens 17-19
volume 10
0 notch

Great thing is iron volume, setting on 10 will eliminate iron targets, somethimes only blurp for big iron stuff.
Detector running silent and only with non-ferrous targets will beeps.
I don't hunt on beaches but on inland hunting is great!
