Well Ma is still living but sore, stiff and bruised in many places...

from falling into my flower bed between the stones and my concrete porch...a big purple oval one on my right hip and a few other scrapes on my legs and etc. Ma is sure getting unsteady on her feet but praise God for saving me from serious harms like broken bones! I couldn't get up but scooted into the garage and pulled myself up by using the bumper on my 1977 Mercury...it was strong and I was able to hold on to it long enough to get on one knee and push myself up....the concrete floor didn't feel good on my knee but I made it but was very nervous and shaky afterwards...the strain of doing it just about took all my energy! I did get the leaves and old stalks cleaned out of the long flower bed, but the mess is still waiting for me to clean up and bag...no good ferries last night! Will try later on to get it done, but not much strength today, even though I did sleep last night but woke up on and off....when a person doesn't get needed restful sleep, it sure takes a toll on the body and mind! But as I always say, I am still living so everything is okay!!

I had beautiful flowers in 2008 but they have gone Kaput since then! May God bless each of you to stay well and able to detect and work, for when weakness and any illnesses set in, it is sure rough but Thank You, Jesus, for Your daily help and loving care! Amen! Ma Betty

Glad it wasn't any worse than what it was. Praying for you!

that were stuck at the bottom of the Mums...couldn't get them all, as too hard to take them out by hand....did use rakes but whether small or large the stems get stuck between the tines and break off the ones that are green! Was going to do the Dogwood, but just couldn't breathe very well, so will do a little more tomorrow, if I can! Weather very nice though in the 70's with low humidity and a cool breeze blowing...sure hope it stays this way for a while, so I can get more done outside...just cannot be out in hot, humid weather and breathe at the same time, too exhausting! Steve, I fell in the flower bed between the stone edge and the concrete porch...tried to catch myself from falling but only hurt my right hand, especially my little finder and bruised my hip and I can tell my ribs are sore when I bend over, so hit them too! Well, I know I am in my second childhood, because I can't walk very well without falling, I have my days and nights mixed up and I drop too much when I eat or do something, so I am getting younger everyday! When I keep dropping things and have to pick them up, I just say, Thank You, Lord, I just got my exercise! :) May God Bless you all with good health and lots of nice goodies! Amen! Ma Betty

You fell on some soft flowers! You should have taken a nap while there. It was a flower BED after all!
OK I'm just kidding ya. I am glad you are OK and was not hurt bad. You be careful young lady.
We need ya here! Praying for quick healing.

glad you are ok Ma. If you are going to get out and work your garden (and don't own a cell phone), at least call someone a friend / neighbor / relative and let them know where you are going to be for a given time. I pray for a quick healing.

Thank you for all your prayers and the flower bed did not have any flowers where I fell, for I was pulling up some unwanted plants that seem to take over everything with their seeds! That is why I fell, I started to step over the stone edge and tripped and to keep from falling, or so I thought, I tried to catch myself with my right hand hitting the concrete porch and my hip, side and ribs, also scraping my leg on the stones! The flower bed isn't very wide but to pull easier I needed to get inside, because to bend over and reach down makes me lose my balance also! Oh well, no broken bones....just bruised, sore and achy...very tired today, so may not do anything outside....need to do things inside when I get the strength to do so! I wish I was like many who are strong and able to do for themselves up to and past a 100 years of age! But there are a lot of younger people who die from many illnesses, so to live to be 75 after all the years I've been ill one way or the other, even on the farm as a kid, I count myself blessed of the Lord! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for watching over me and keeping me safe from broken bones and cuts! Amen! Ma Betty

Thanks Bill, but actually I have been feeling better with weather better for working outside, so that is why I have been doing things outside, for when it is hot with high humidity, I just get exhaused from the heat and trying to breathe! I gasp a lot but I'm still going, at least I am not lying in a bed somewhere and not able to get up by myself and I hope and pray I die or Jesus catches His saints up before that might happen! Hope you are feeling okay and getting more rain! We got some today but not much! It is thundering and lightning right now so we might get some during the night! Supposed to be very hot next week, so no outside work for me then! May God Bless and keep you safe and supply all your needs! Amen! Ma Betty
