It rained off and on yesterday, lastnight and more rain plus storms all around this afternoon! So, though it does a lawn good, I cannot get it mowed and will have more limbs, balls and etc to pick up before I can!
Took me too long to do what needed to be done before I could mow and now the weeds will get a lot taller before it drys out enough to cut it!
I watched on PBS...channel NINE last night about the Powel Lake (I believe that's what it is called...it's the large one near Lake Meade....Anyway, there had been such a draught that the water has receded and left some beautiful areas uncovered and open that were covered deeply by the waters! Even the boat docks are high and dry. Makes many people happy and they don't want the places covered again! Gorgeous scenery from what I could see on the TV Screen!
Steve, I guess it would be nice if you got some rainfall to freshen the air and wash off all the dust! Therefore, may God Bless you with some rainfall and give you showers of blessings!
The yard I have to mow isn't as large as most, but too large when it comes to mowing it and too small when it comes to selling my home...GO FIGURE!
God Bless!
Betty

Sounds like you got your share & more. The lakes in Az have been filling up very well this last year. Especially to the north with all the storms passing through. Down here in the south it's another story.
Lake Powell sure does have a lot of canyons, etc that are covered by water usually. I've never been there, just across it's dam a few times.
Now get that yard cleaned up and get out detecting, steve

...we've had our share too. Looks like a dry week after today. The rain does make the ground softer and easier to dig though.
I hope you get to get out and dig some soon. I don't have time anymore but enjoy seeing everyones finds.
God bless you, Betty!
Doug

bring May flowers... May God shower you with his blessings.
Dave

Even though we need the rain, my buddy in GA has had so much it won't even soak in! God will henp you get all this work done, and make sure you get out for some detecting time. You move closer and I will help you with the yard!

detect, but Doug, you and I both need to go detecting when the conditions are right, because with the winds and sun everything dries out fast and then too dry and hard to dig, especially on ball fields as they get packed down from all the running and stomping by players!
God Bless & don't work too hard and have some fun!
Betty

alas these old bones don't work that well any more!
And besides that I never was a good dancer!!
But I praise God for the rain and for the beautiful flowers, as they are blooming bountifully now including my Lilac Bush and Dogwood Tree!
God Bless!
Betty
