All in all everyone really seemed to have a great time, enjoying all the hunts and the competitions.
We found lots of Silver and even 2 Gold nuggets, three silver rounds, but the great finds were at a pre civil war site we were allowed to hunt. It was only a foundation left over from an era we dream of finding. We with many other friends got to dig at the foundation and found lots of bottles and various other items including a civil war button an Indian arrow head and neat odds and ends, some kitchen u tinsels, and a few tools. We never found the privy but maybe that will happen on another visit!

I'll post some pictures later!

Good to be back home, went to a local high school tonight and found a small silver ring and about 2.00 in change. Sure is good to do some regular detecting after all that competition hunting!

Competition hunting is a different bird altogether, you guys that told me it was different....I sure had no idea how much! We had a great time though and made many new friends!
Plus I learned that my wife has the greatest detector for competition hunting there is...I put the Minelab Explorer up and used a Tek Turbo the whole time!

Hope to see you guys out there in fields!
