About the scariest thing I ever been through and that inlcudes 2 huge earthquakes in Cali. Tree fell on top of the motorhome and skwered through the roof. Amazingly no one was killed or injured. The flattened blue car was parked next to my motorhopme. Most of the trees were 60-70 feet tall and some were 36" in diameter. They all fell in less than 20 seconds. We never heard them...the roar of the wind and hail was so loud we heard only the roar...well and when hte tree hit our roof we heard that...I saw the branches come straight through the celing into the cabin.

.....it has been a bugger to say the least. To add insult to injury...we go back today to check on my motorhome ( they finally got the trees cleared to get back in) and the campground owner said she was sorry but while they were cutting down the damaged trees they heard a crash and looked over and a 50 foot pine crashed down on top of my RV. Not theior fault...it was leaning when we evacuated. Did not do any more damage as compared to the original...just ripped the rest of the awnings that had survived the first hit.
I just laughed.
To make it all more fun my debit card was hacked last week by someone in Russia....they made a bunch of charges from Russia.....my Bank figures that my card info was hacked from a merchant I had used within the past week or two.
I did not have to pay the fraudulant charges but they cancelled our cards and we have been without debit cards...and we quit owning credit cards 4 years ago...so we are making it on cash. Try renting a hotel or car on cash.
Tomorrow is the big day...Geico is sending over the adjuster to review the damage....I hope they just write off the motorhome...it is only a 1992 Fleetwood Bounder and with three branches through the roof and water damage inside I am praying they total it. I don't want a motorhome with a patched roof and you cannot give one away when it is time to sell. plus there is a branch through the roof AC, one through the hot water heater and all 6 awnings are ruined.
But...the 26" LCD HDTV I just installed survived.....it is going in my bedroom at the new apartment.
Somedays you just gotta laugh....even if your wife looks at you funny as you do so.
