Went back this morning to

the park that used to have carnivals every summer.

I just got back form hunting the same spot after work this morning (6/2/0 and I found:

29 quarters
2 dimes
1 penny

So my total take so far from that park is:
46 quarters
3 dimes
1 penny

for a grand total of $11.81 for a few hours of work.

It hard to imagine that there are that many quarters laying around. Well, you got enough to pay for the gas.

Quarters were the coin of the realm at carnivals in later years. When I was a kid everything ( rides included ) was a nickel, except for the sideshows - they were a dime..
