2 guys already on the beach using Prizms that were from West Branch.
They didn't have much luck. We all figured with all the people who came for the Bud Bash (yes Bud as in Budweiser beer) would have people losing money. The Bash was this weekend and is now over.
Well with the beer they lost their inhabitions, lost their clothes, acted like they lost their minds, lost friends and some lost their wallets. Yep, evolution at its finest. This is just an excuse to act stupid and come to our little town to spend their money and trash our community...with our approval?????
Anyway, the metal detectorists from West Branch had found only a few pennies. Guess all the rest of the money people had were spent on partying and they had little left to lose on our beaches.
I won't go into how bad things got. One of the Corrections Officers for the Roscommon County Sheriff Department summed it up well with these words:
"Bud Bash - come on vacation, go home on probation".
To protect the people from themselves police departments combined efforts. Michigan State Police, Roscommon County Sheriff department, Departmanet of Natural Resources and other agencies did all they could to keep things peaceful and with the fewest of injuries to all. The locals here stay away from the Limber Lost bar area where the center of the partying takes place.
I didn't find anything the short hunt i had but was nice to see others detecting. Warthog...if ya detect in West Branch, they are probably hitting places before you can get these since that is there stomping grounds.
