Tried a boat ramp parking lot covered in rocks this afternoon. I only had 20 minutes so it was going to be a quick hunt. I found 1.37 in clad just sitting on top. No rings yet.

I was hunting one time in a small town when I attracted the attention of a soul who had spent a lot of time on the streets. She was fascinated by the detector but couldn't understand why I hadn't found a lot. She wanted to take me over to a section of gravel where she said she found all of her money. I walked around her special spot but didn't find a thing. In just a minute she scooped up a quarter that she spotted just lying on top of the ground. She said people parked on the little spot to run into a nearby store. She said she could almost always find something there. I think she felt sorry for me and was ready to share her quarter. Sometimes those that have the least are the most generous.
