Went to the movies tonight an saw. "Battle LA".....

[size=large] Here's my take on it; A slow starter, bunch of mostly unneeded poo at the beginning that could have cut the chaff in half the time. Pretty good acting, some fresh faces ~ I hate movies with pretty male models or teenagers in the leading role. This had some actors that fit their role. Battle gear and equipment was realistic but to many old Huey choppers. Pretty good action but a bit fast and choppy that left you wishing you could have seen it more clearly. The aliens where never shown in detail and looked more mechanical or robotic than aliens.... the saucer shaped heads didn't help (only took on average about 50 rounds to drop one or a direct hit with a grenade launcher). Some good special effects but that's to be expected this day and age. Overall I give it 6.5. It's a MANS movie that will make you old Marines walk a little taller when you leave the theater, even if it does hurt.[/size]

From the alnd of the Bluenose.....concurr with your evaluation..........slow start and I thought same plot as Independance day.........................sequeal coming no doubt!~ What one will do when the ground is frozen!
