West coast question

I'm going back out to the west coast in a few weeks and plan to detect while i'm there. I did this in the spring and was unable to get my Bandido 2 mmax to run on the beaches there. My Tigershark did run, in disc and saltwater mode only, although it too falsed more than i liked.
Any suggestions on how i might set the bandido up? I can't help thinking it ought to work. Also, has anyone on the west coast used a Deleon on the beach? I ask about the west coast because I was in Florida this year and found their mineralization to be almost nil in comparison and easy to adjust for.
THanks for any ideas.

Thank you Greg, I'll try it next time i'm out on the coast. Nice clear directions there!

I used my Bandido II uMAX on the beaches of Southern Calif. with excellent results. Set it up (threshold & Groud Balance) on the dry sand. You can hunt the dry sand in the All Metal or Dics Modes.
On the wet sand, use only the Disc Mode. I got about 4 inches depth on a penny and dime in the wet sand (Coins I buried and tested for depth).
Hope this helps.

Leave the Threshold and Ground Balance as set on the dry sand!

Thanks Vince, I appreciate your help. Sounds like i just didn't have it set right. I'll admit i was anxious to hunt and went straight to my Tigershark when i had trouble. But..i'd like to use the lighter bandido when i can so this should help me set it up.
