... the company I worked for held a 3 day seminar for wholesale distributors of hardware from all over the country. There were about 15 company's represented, one to three people per company.

The meeting was at the O'Hare Ramada Inn at O'Hare Airport in Chicago. We had tanks of helium to blow up baloons in the meeting room and hospitality suite.

The last day of the seminar was the first day of the 1980 something blizzard hitting Chicago. By about noon, snowdrifts were higher than city busses. All flights were cancelled and many of us had to spend a couple nights in the hospitality suite due to roads being closed and flight cancelled / already checked out of the rooms from the prior two nights. I lived only 18 miles away and could not get home for two days.

That first evening of the blizzard, all these CEO's of theses big wholesalers were enjoying the adult beverages and then one of the men decided to take a couple "hits" of helium while he was calling home to his wife and kids .... everyone thought it was funny so most everyone had to try it too. I laughed so hard my face hurt when seeing these very conservative stoggie men acting so silly.
