Holy cow, we gots pulse transmitters with VLF receivers, and CW triangle wave with pulse receivers, square waves, triangle waves, rectangluar waves, sine waves, different distorted waveforms, and what a mess!!!
We gots fruits and we gots vegatables and then along comes a tomato. What do we do with it? It doesn't fit it into our catagories.
We will make it fit. Believe this !!!
Truth is it looks like someone out there somewhere at some time has made a metal detector with just about any waveform you can dream of. And received it with just about anything that will receive signals and blapt out a noise. And they all worked, some better than others.
Every specific model of metal detector out there is somewhat different from every other model. They have to do this, its the law.
Patents are to claim ideas, and may or may not in all or in part be used in any specific model of metal detector. Sometimes they do refer to a specific model, but more often they do not, and pieces may be used in a whole series of detectors. Or said better, the idea is used in a whole series, but things change. Even competitors may get paid for some idea of theirs that is in yours.
Be careful relating patents to specific detectors.
Usually after you get the first one built you figure out better ways to do it, which makes things change anyway.
So it don't matter what ya call it, thing is to try to understand somewhat all the schemes, and figure out what is best for your needs.
Or come up with something new, if you think there is any room left.
No matter what is said, I have to have respect for guys like Corbyn, Candy, Payne, Foster,..... and all the rest of those who have advanced the science and knowledge.
Cheers (is that how you say it?)
