What about the......

What about the Infinium Ls detector. At 96 frequencies I imagine it
must rival many of the other gold nuggett detector down your way. Been
thinking about the GMT but now I hear about the infinium! Any information
would be appreciated.

If you are going to buy a Pulse Induction machine, and spend $1,200.00, get a used Minelab 2200 or 3000. A top of the line gold finding VLF machine costs $700.00 Whites GMT, Tesoro Lobo SuperTRAQ, Fisher Goldbug II. My two-cents - Terry

Hi Katz

I totally agree with Terry on this subject, although the infinium is a good machine it doesn't have the raw GRUNT that the
early Minelabs have and they are far better at cancelling out the ground mineralisation that can mask out the gold.
The SD2100/SD2200D/GPEXTREME are also very good at sniffing out those smaller nuggets than the infinium
when fitted with a small say 10x5 inch Mono coiltek or a 8 inch Minelab round coil and the depth is still very good using
this combo.
Over here in Western Australia the ground is literally full of the small 0.1 to half gram bits and on a good day you can
sniff up plenty of these bread & butter sized nuggets which not only pay for your fuel costs but keep you very keen
while you wait for the better size nuggets to show up.
