What are the 10.5" coils taht everyone is referring too??

I have looked on several sites and the ROUND DD medium frequency and high frequency coils are not 10.5" but rather 10". At least, that is what they are advertised. Since I have been studying Xterra Forum here, I see frequent mention of a 10.5" coil. Is it manufactured by Minelab? Coiltek? The Minelab Round DD coils are advertised at just ten inches instead of ten point five. I don't know why this is nagging at me so much, but can someone clear this up for me??? Thank you. kevin

It's just a marketing/advertising thing. Easier to just show 10" rather than taking the time and space for two more characters to include the ".5".

Bottom line is that they are a 10.5" coil, and since the round Xterra coils are either 6". 9", or 10.5", anytime that you see a 10" round coil advertised for the Xterra, it will be a 10.5" DD.
On the forums we try to be as accurate as possible, and use 10.5" to distinguish them from the 5x10" eliptical HF DD so that there is no confusion or doubt.

Here is a coil compatability chart straight from MineLab. Notice that the 10" HF DD that they show is actually the eliptical, and the others are 10.5".
