What are the best headphones for the Explorer tones?

I know that some good phones work very well with specific brand of detectors but tonal quality is not as crisp/sharp or wide for others.
I like the Exp2 Koss phones on my Quattro but they did not sound that good on my Sov. IMO, the Grey Ghost originals were better for both detectors as well as my Tesoros. Anybody using Timberwolves or other quality phones on the Exp2?

I use them exclusively on just about every detector I own. They have the most volume of any I've used so far and the tonal quality needed for a multi tone detector is second to none.
Don't think you would be disappointed in the Timberwolfs.

The Grey Ghosts work great. I've been using Sun Ray's Pro Headphones for about a year and in my opinion they're just as good as the Grey Ghosts.

been beeping 10 years now. my 1st 5 years i broke every pair no matter how much i paid. the last 5 years i have used the same pair. its called grey ghost! no kidding i broke at least 6 pairs before the ghost. i got tired of paying the 5 bucks to repair the koss headphones. i just tossed them out in the trash- same with all the other pairs.

I have the 3 following sets of phones that I use on my Explorer 2 and Musky - Timberwolf Explorers, Sun Ray Pros (Killer Bs), and RatPhones. All of them are excellent phones. The RatPhones had a better midrange as far as tones to my hearing. The Timberwolfs seem to block noise the best. And the Sun Rays have the loudest volumn, even louder than the Timberwolf since with it cranked I can actually hurt my ears with the Sun Rays.
