hello dear friends did air tests with peace polyester foam not to miss any distance on my pro coil vs. my loved 1050 and its look the same performance :nopity: whats is not right? all the time I was sure that pro is deeper??its all this air tests with hand waiving coins in different speed!!!!! anybody can compare this two coils on manual sensitivity in the same waiving speed? Thanks Stasys from East Europe-Lithuania :heh:

Hello Stacy you are going too find both coil run differently when used in the field i wouldnt go souly on your air tests for we all know theres alot of different factors that change there performance thanxs SAS

I have yet to find a good reason to airtest any ML coil other than to learn target sound/response. Just about any off-brand name machine/coil will air test better than Minelabs. It only matters in the ground and thats where ML's are untouchable. Have you tried the throw test yet Stasys? My money is on the pro-coil. Please post results. JJ

Hello JJ I did so many test that I start to hate tests :bouncy:. I know minelab is deepest or deep, with this I dont have any problem. I wanted to know what coil can give best air test for depth, just to know what size electro magnetic field. I was totally sure that pro is deeper and more sensitive, but this was my mistake which I did year ago when i was testing with friend different coils. biggest mistake in air test is coin sweep speed, if coin sweep speed slow you will get less depth than fast sweep speed around one inch. now I am a bit confused dont know what to say about pro coil? pro is visually nice and light- less weight to swing, coil connection in center which is plus too, minuses; to much holes for dirt and in the field it can become weight, mud will stuck in all this holes, coil cover with holes too and not cover coil under cable connector?? to much spokes to catch everything with coil and pro is more in love with hot rocks. 1050 is ugly a bit more heavy, connection not in center-minus, but design is very close to perfect. price is too very different. I would say its only my point and I can be in some situation not100% right! if anybody love Pro coil I happy too! :cheekkiss: good luck Stasys

I noticed the many holes under the Pro coil. I plan on filling them with Silicone caulk smooth over with the finger. I doubt the caulk with add weight to the coil. It will be much lighter than mud getting in the holes. I just rather not clean the dried mud out each time I get home. My Thought on the Pro coil. Going to be a GREAT MACHINE once I learn it.
