What coil to use in hot ground--

Going to a relic hunt in Orange Va. this weekend. Ground is really hot. I'm either going to use the 7.5 khz DD or the high frequency elliptical. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would also use prospecting mode as it is more suited for minerals.

I'd take them both and see how they respond to the specific site. Just a guess, but I'd say the 7.5 kHz DD will provide better results. I'd bet it will hunt deeper than the elliptical and will be more stable. I find the HF coils work fine, when you turn the Sensitivity down a little bit. But if you're relic hunting, you probably want all the depth you can get. And the 7.5 kHz DD is a good one! Good luck on your hunt. Let us know how it goes. HH Randy
