I think they are old, that's for sure.
I dunno...but it would be nice to cash in somewhere.
Here are a few targets from just one hunt at a favorite park, but this one time I decided to dig some iron..
Can you tell it is also right next to some RR tracks?

I agree, those are very much older than usual RR spikes...sort of smaller too? like for a small gauge RR in a mineshaft? What caliber are the roundballs?

Is .I would rather not be finding the iron junk. Reading the replies I see where their actually neat finds in a sense.

Guess I better start looking a little closer at the stuff I throw away... You just never know what you have found.
