I need some opinions on what Fisher I should get next.
I narrowed it down to a Coinstrike or CZ70 Pro. Heres the thing. I already have a CZ6a (which I will never sell and since it's my first detector, I know it the best). My problem is, if I get the CZ70 Pro, is the only thing different from the 6a other than it being digital is the extra tone ? I know it has the same frequencies and its a CZ, but will it functionally be the same as the 6a ( in terms of depth, discrim ability and iron loving....yeah, until I really learned what my 6a was telling me I dug tons of deep iron nails and other deep iron 'goodies' Does the Pro do better at iron rejection or the ability to identify bad vs. good) ? I do about 65 % land hunting but also get to the salt beaches so another question is how is the Coinstrike on the beach ?
I like the idea of having a visual display in all metal and auto ground/tracking in addition to the newer technology of the DPA on the Strike, but it's single frequency and I am wondering if it really excels more on land vs beach and is not as much of an 'all around' detector as the Pro. From reading some of the forum posts, the CZ Pro is apparently hot on nickles so I would assume it is better at picking out the gold on the beach.
If I did have to make a choice as to land hunting for silver coins vs. beach hunting I would have to take hunting for the silver coins. That's just me as I love the old silver coins so that leans me a little toward the Strike.
And I am not adverse to any type of fiddling or programming...I have a DFX which I kinda conquered so that does not bother me ( and I like it and have found great stuff with it) I am like alot of people out there...detectors are like Lays potato chips...can't have just one !!
Thanks in advance to all the guys n gals for any insight/field experiences you may have.
