I found these two things a few years ago in a very old area. They appear to be made out of pure lead. I have no idea what they are?? Dime for size scale. Any help would be appreciated!!
 
They were sewn into the hem of dresses to make them hang straight and prevent wind from blowing them up. They were also occasionally sewn into the bottom of curtains. I've found quite a few of them around old church sites and a few at old homesites in a variety of sizes.
