What is your goto program?

What is the one you always start with?

What is another you use also (not to check iron/caps)?

My goto is:
4Coins:
Disc 4.0, Full Tones, Sens 85, Freq 4, IV 0, Reac 2, Silence 0, Audio 3, Overload 2, Notch 0-30, 94-99

My Second is:
PrefCoin:
Disc 8.0, 5 Tones, Sens 88, Tx Pwr 1, Freq 12, IV 1, Reac 3, Silence 1, Audio 3, Overload 1, Notch 0-10, 98-99
CoinHog;
Disc 10.0, 5 Tones, Sens 90, Tx Pwr 2, Freq 8, IV 0, Reac 2, Silence 2, Audio 2, Overload 1, Notch 0-30, 96-97

Why do you have Disc set to 4.0, 8.0, and 10 respectively?

If you already have 00 to at least 5 notched out, then using Disc higher than 4.0 or 5.0 is costing you a slight bit of depth, maybe 1/2" at the most on coin-sized targets. Notching as far as I can tell doesn't impact max detection depth like Disc does - does setting Disc this high help with iron bleed through? Any quieter operation? With reactivity at 3 you lose about 2" max depth compared to reactivity at 2 with all other parameters being equal. Just curious, that's all - you will find a ton of goodies with those programs!

My GOTO program (non-frequency dependent) is:

Reactivity = 2
Silencer = 0
IV = 0
Disc = 2.0
TX = 2
Sens = 90
Full tones
Notch (depends on freq) but usually 00-25
Ground notch 85-90
Manual GB = 83 (depends on site)
Audio Response = 3
Overload = 1

The site tells me what freq to use. The tot lot across the street is usually 12 or 18 kHz and there's a lot of 10-12" zincolns present under the woodchips but I don't dig them. I know where they are and they remain there so I can test newer settings at times. At the beginning of next school year the city will dig up the woodchips and replace them with fresh...

Rental houses and the fairgrounds usually get 4 or 8 khz if the EMI is manageable, and Reactivity goes up to 4 on successive hunts.

I got these setting froma place I hunt, and continue to hunt and that darn place is junk heaven, tons of crud.....I really do not particularly need the disc but as that is, I get results from that site and my other current site which is a double lot that 2 houses burned down, again tons of nails junk and crud.....

Now that I am thinking on it (thanks CZ) I will experiment with the disc at 0 ad see what happens........

Do you all basically bun the same place regularly or am I just doing it? LOL I keep getting goodies and figure till I am skunked a few times, I am going back, now the lots are just in a series of lots I am hitting of late, all basically the same, burned down houses.

I use a Disc of 1 along with Notch with Reac 1 Silencer 0 in 4kHz to get as much depth as possible

Well did not test it at all today, went water/wet beach hunting....Got clad and fishing lures....lol

Only got a couple hours in as the water level was faster that I had time for.......

Gonna try disc at 0 and at 1 and see what happens...
