This being my 2nd year with the Safari and already I've found one thing that has greatly improved my nickel count over last year's results. By the end of last year only 4.5% of my finds ended up being nickels which I don't have to tell you is not particularly good, especially if your also looking for gold rings in that range. This year instead of running my sensitivity in the higher teens or as high as it would go without it becoming chirpy or unstable, I cut it back to "15" and have left it there. What a difference that has made in identifying nickels. In just two hunts this year my nickel count is already "11" or 17% of my total finds, whereas for all of last year my nickel finds only totalled "50" altogether. Admittedly cutting back on your sensitivity may cost you a little depth, but if it is going to help identify your nickels and thereby some of your gold too, it might be worth a shot.
