Heres a video showing the swing speeds of the deus I think alot of people make a mistake here.

Do hunters really swing that slow? If you do then you better swing faster like the video shows

its been warm here this year, and yes some people do have very slow swing speeds minelab users come to mind. a couple of my buddys used mine labs and they have slow swings speeds.

i find that even tho the Deus is fast i have to swing slow because it can send and receive a signal so fast that my brain dosen't register it. then suddenly i go WAIT! what was that?? and then i have to go back and find it again. the heavier the amount of signals the slower that i have to go.

To hit the deeper stuff with a CTX, you have to swing fast not slower and have an open screen and salt water mode checked on.

This is the good point here. There is no single "best" swing speed. Type of targets sought and the site as well as the reactivity , number of tones and ground conditions all have their own affect on the swing speed that works best. I think this applies in general to all type of detecting and detectors,,not just the Deus.

I really made this video because some of my buddys where hitting targets and then checking and almost stopping the machine when going over them and it was messing the signal up. It hits target better imo with a confident swing speed not mad man and not granny speed, next time you guys are out when you get some targets check them. start with a granny swing and move up see what your results are.

I have found targets going both slow and fast.

Site dependent,,,soil minerals,,,detector settings, etc.

In iron filled places,,,,too fast,,,,is a no no.

Machine gun fire with grunts,,,,these sites are what I'm referring to here.
