Make them wish they did. My previous post was about getting permission to hunt this old house in my neighborhood. Asked a buddy if he wanted to join me, and we made arraignments to hunt this morning. At the appointed time and still no word from him, I went to the site and started without him. Keeping an ear out for the cell phone to ring I continued to hunt. my first couple hits were modern pennies and a few clad coins. I continued to hunt when i got this nice solid half dollar hit. out of the ground came a 1936 walking liberty, I think i woke the neighbors when i saw that but it got better from there.like always,I rechecked the hole and bingo another hit. This time a 1934 walking liberty. I knew from there I was going to have a very good day. the next coins where 6 Wheaties,1950 dime,1951 and 1948 nickles, 1945 and 1953 quarters, 1943 walking liberty, 1946,1941 and 1920 Canadian pennies and the best of all a 1923 peace dollar. all this in 1 yard and I know there is more. lets not forget the ton of trash i unearthed also but i threw that away. now this took me about 3 hours and after a little break for food and drink I decided to hit some tot lots since it was such a nice day out today. The finds there were very good also. This is the run down .35 quarters,32 dimes,12 nickles, and 67 pennies. 7 little charms, 1 gold ear ring and what looks like a gold heart necklace but wont know for sure until i have it checked.. My weird find for the day was a big bug that opens to reveal a clock inside.. So I am thinking my buddy is going to kick himself in the butt when he sees my finds for the day. What do you think???

Very nice hunt

I think your right he missed a good hunt congrats on the finds. Howard

OMG! What an awesome hunt! Now thats what I call true dirt fishin! Good for you bud!:garrett:

That bug watch is really cool and the mound of silver speaks for itself. As for your buddy, maybe you should toss him a bone. Share some of the wheats with him and call it even so there's no hard feelings. At least then you'll know how good of a buddy he is.
