So last year I bought a pre-owned (but unused) SE that came with the stock 10" slimline. Then I picked up a Pro coil, and an FBS 800 came with it in a package deal. Now over the winter (and a long, cold one at that, I might add), cabin fever and dreams of hunting have led me to pick up a used E Trac. It came with the Pro coil too, but also another FBS 800. Still in cabin fever mode, I've recently added a used 8x6 SEF to the arsenal (is it Spring yet?).
Now I'm wondering if I really need two Pro coils, the 10" slimline, and FBS 800s. On the one hand, should I decide to only keep one of the detectors (heaven forbid), I could still create a 'complete' package for either. On the other hand, I could eliminate the redundant coils, share between the two 'tectors, and convert the redundant coils into something else.
I'd keep a Pro and the 8x6 at a minimum, but that leaves one detector incomplete should I separate them. I could keep the 10" (it's brand new), but will never use it, so it would only be if ever getting rid of the SE. I could keep both Pros and the 8x6, and get rid of the rest, then the detectors are complete and usable, but a Pro coil might be useful trade bait.
Suggestions? (gotta pass the time somehow...)
