What's that stuff called to cover coil?

aloha gang, whats that marine stuff called that some of you put on your coils to prevent scratching? and how thick to apply it? Mahalo Mikey
 
marine epoxy Home depot carries it or if you want a different color besides Grey woodcraft carries it... Yellow

Mercy BH, if you had a bouyancy problem with your coil it's resolved now.:shocked: How many coats did you put on the coil, it looks really thick.

YA ....IT'S ABOUT BULLET PROOF!!! IT WAS NEVER BOUYANT ANY WAY....CUTS THROUGH THE WATER FAST TOO!!
 
I just tried spraying my coil on the Excal with a rubberized undercoat, I'll see how that holds up. Coils almost shot now so I figure what the heck?

Marine Epoxy eh,

I might try that as i don't bother with head/coil covers.
