I just recently acquired a new Safari and got both the stock procoil and a 10" slimline coil as well. I am wondering what the benefit of having two of the same sizewd coils for this machine is. I would think maybe the procoil and a smaller 5" coil would be mo' betta. ANy thoughts or help with this?

Hmmm bought used from someone?

If both your coils are in good working order I would keep the pro coil, sell the 10" slimline, and buy yourself a 6" Excelerator DD coil ,or if your funds allow, the small SEF you will be able to detect in most places with this combo, just my two pennies worth.Good Luck with the Safari.

I agree with leslie- I have a 5" Excelerator that works great in heavy trash or running it verticle along the edge of old sidewalks in construction areas.
