What's the smallest thing you have found at the greatest depth with what detector...

I found a pea sized wad of aluminum foil at 7" with my GTA1000 in very wet mulch with the standard 8.5" coil. Let's have at it.

I have seen many depth claims that are hard to believe! Many deep targets are actually dug from the side of the hole but found in the bottom when they are widening it. Therefore they think it came from the bottom. I dug two Indian head pennys at the 2nd forum hunt at 11" I have dug some Civil War bullets at as deep as 16" The Explorer can spot a quarter at 18" in the wet sand. But I seen a friend dig a US Civil War belt plate at 27" and they are smaller than most think! :)

I really can't say what depth they've been, but I've found targets SO small that I've had to take out my probe to find them. I once found a stud "diamond" earring a good 2 scoops down and it didn't have a heck of a lot of metal on it. The ExpII is VERY sensitive to small targets. Maybe too sensitive :) I see a lot of very small pieces of slag and what's known on the beach as "can slaw".... little pieces of deteriorated aluminum.

...A very small earring backing,in the water,DEEP in the sand-Almost went nuts tryin to find it-I would dig it up and it kept fallin thru the scoop drain-holes-Subsequently;it kept movin around;difficult to find....
