Whats up with Fishers F75 LTD, will we ever see a black one?

I finally took the plunge and pre-ordered an F75 LTD about a month ago, having seen the release date moved ahead several times over the past few months. I was assured they would be shipped in mid to late July. In fact their web site still has this time table on their add. But today they told me Fisher was now saying August 31. They claimed Fisher was having problems getting parts. Now I was in the electronics service industry for 30 years and I have used that excuse more times than I can remember. Now while my old 1265X still brings the heat, I sure would like to use my F75 LTD before winter.
Perplexed in Tennessee.

They seem to keep pushing the release date back (supposedly due to a parts supply issue).---Sure hope I don't need parts for my camo F-75 LTD I bought at the first of the year!

chances are they are being truthful. i read a post where all manufacturers are experiencing difficulty in this area.

They're backordered as they are making T 2's to ship overseas.Someone found a gold nugget in Africa(I think it was) with a T2 and they have huge orders for T 2's to ship out.

It makes you wonder how they can repair/support the LTD down the road when they can't seem to get and keep in stock parts now. If someone had a broken LTD that needed the difficult to get part they might be pretty mad about now.

If it is true they are swamped with T2 orders, manufacturing should not be setting ship dates for the LTD they cannot meet. Their manufacturing manager needs to take a hard look at his job performance.

They should hire some of these unemployed folks and get up to speed.......That would help........hh.....Dan

From my experience, its also usually something that only costs pennies, but if your are missing that part, you dont build units.
