Whats up with the cheap prices of FISHERS now??

I just watched a Fisher CZ-20 sell for 457.00 on ebay,it was a really nice one and never in salt water with lots of freebies.I almost bid on it.From the looks of it they have lost there resale value,Whats up??
I'm not knocking them guys I like them too,Just want to know because I may buy one one day.

I purchased one for a friend on here for $350.00 and it was mint.. I'm guessing the prices are lower because if it needs service its gonna cost you an arm and a leg lol..

for around $500 if I recall. Built like a tank but fairly heavy (even with a chest harness mount). The pinpoint on the older models sucks and mine quit working, but you don't really need it. It's really good on silver, good on gold, but I don't think as good as Excal and Whites BH - but alot has to do with practice - I've found plenty of gold with it.

Biggest drawback I can think of is that Fisher being bought out last year doesn't seem to have as good of customer support as it used to and repair costs for a CZ20 (if you should need them) will cost $$$.

Personally, I think if you can get a decent used one for under $600, I'd do it - it would only take a few gold finds to pay for it - mine has been paid for many times over in 3 years.

Oh,your killing me I want a beach hunter but my wife would kill me if I bought 2 new detectors in one month.LOL
My first water machine is a Whites Surf pro.having lots of fun with it too!!

Well lets see...the economy sucks, gas is $4.00 + per gallon, unemployment, take your pick. I've seen some incredible prices here lately. Can you say firesale?

I am the friend that got the one for 350.00. I have used the Beach Hunter ID and I know the CZ goes deeper. As to the repairs. If you go to the Fisher forum, Mike Scott posted new repair prices and they might suprise you.

I have had my problems with them BUT, I still feel they are a fantastic machine. I now own 2 CZ-21's and a CZ-20.

I bought one because it was so highly recommended by a certain detectorist here then later, this person gets rid of it .Don't waste your money My advice get one of the whites or hh Its alot cheaper lighter and more reliable. cz 21 forget about them

I have a whites surf pro now and love it.found gold first two days out,It will be with me till I quit .LOL.
