What's with this weather???

Here it is two weeks before Christmas and I'm walking the beach sweating my you know what off. The temp here today was in the low 80's. People are laying out all over the beach soaking up the sun like it's early June or something. This is getting really strange. Anyway, I got down there about an hour and a half before a 2:51 pm low tide of 0.4 and stayed until about 4:30. Had some things to do or would have stayed much later. There have been a couple of cuts in the beach all this week and they were there today but my total find was only a few clad coins and one .925 toe ring. I saw a friend of mine who was already there when I got down and he had found a man's band. He asked me to take a look at it because he couldn't quite make out anything even though he had a weak magnifying glass. I took a look inside the band and spelled out the letters Plat. He had thought it was probably 14K white. I thought he was going to reach the moon he was jumping so high. Seeing that and his expression was almost as good as if I had found it. He moved on down the beach and I turned around and started the other way. I had only wanted to say hello as I hadn't seen him in a while and neither of us like to hunt too close to anyone. Before I left I also met a couple of new guys who had come down from a town about thirty miles inland. Well, I didn't find much but spelling out those letters for my friend was enough to make my day. It truly was a beautiful day on the beach and that was treasure enough. Hope all of you had a good day. I sure need to start using a camera. I love seeing all of the photos people post and I keep meaning to learn to do it. Soon.

Beach cams by me (clearwater) show a variable ghost town. Lets hope the weather stays warm for a couple of more weeks when school recess starts.
