Which machine is your back up machine for just having a little fun, beeping and digging.

I tote a Troy Shadow X5 along with my SE. Fantastic depth, very light weight and it only takes one 9V battery, which lasts 30+ hours. I have the regular 9in concentric coil along with the 5x10 Double D coil and a 7" coil. I've recovered quite a few deep ones with that machine.

When I'm not using the ML I use the Tesoro Golden for shallow stuff and clad.

For simple straight swing & dig I like light weight set and forget operation so........
In no particular order:
Fisher F75 with 3x6 elliptical concentric, Whites Matrix M6 with Whites 6x10 elliptical or Excellerator round DD, X-Terra 705 with stock 7.5 KHz 9" concentric.
Oh and my daughter's Tesoro Eldorado with 7" concetntric coil for maximum arm rest & relaxation.

I would never tire of hearing the sweet sounds of the Explorer. I do have the Safari for anyone who tags along and doesn't have a detector. But Its the Explorer all the way, why would I want to intentionally miss a coin.
