Texadillo said:I still use my Troy Shadow X2 that I bought new back in the 1900's because for me it still does the job and I've been told it is kin to the Silver so I guess that explains it! I like the pushbutton "coin check" feature on the X2 which is set to knock out zinc pennies and everything below which can help when "cherry picking" for coins. I use it more so for a quick idea of what the target may be because normally I keep my disc at the minimum setting and I like to investigate all hits that repeat. I also like the pushbutton "pinpoint" which when held down will keep the X2 in the all-metal mode and that helps me to get a better idea of what the target may be by reading the signal width(ferrous vs non-ferrous). Also the control knobs on the X2 have resistance behind them so they are not easily knocked out of adjustment by headphone cords or vegetation while in brushy areas. I think it is really a quality unit and since Tesoro made them for Troy I thought it would qualify![]()
