Went metal detecting in Alabama last week and found this near a beach at a small park. It says "Alabama State" and the numeral "1" on the front and I can't quite make out the back. This pic is of the back. I'll have to post twice cuz I haven't figured out the merge fxn on Paint Shop Pro. Thanks
P.S.- It appears to be made of aluminum so I'm sure it's not old.
 
I live in Alabama. It is a tax token or what we call a hard time token. I find they around all the old house places here. BEAR
