Well, my new Safari arrived 10 minutes ago and the assembly was a breeze!. The only problem is I cant for the world find the plug inn for the headphones!

Check at end of arm where you put battery in looks like a screw is missing, thats where you put earphone jack.

I wrote up a short evaluation on the appearance of the Safari on another forum and the location of the earphone jack hole was one of the things I didn't like much. Perhaps it is pretty much standart on Minelabs? I don't know 'cause it's my first Minelab detector. Anyway, the rubber flap was really the only cheap looking piece of the total package I could really criticise. It just don't look like it would hold up for much use. And , when I place it in my carry bag I have to always remember to pull the jack out or it will stick up where it can be broken easily. Maybe it will be OK, time will tell. Onus
