WHERE'S MY OLE BUDDY BIG FANG LATELY???

It took a week to figure that out and get the new one working. Thank you for the concern!

I have been hunting a couple houses that have been pounded previously. The first one all I got was an 1866? shield nickel which is too corroded to see the date (but has rays) and a couple wheats. The second place I managed to eek out two IHs. Thursday I hit the third house - Wow, was it clean! Over in one corner of the lot there was lots of trash and it looked like some ground had been moved (lower than the rest of the yard). In that corner I managed to find a 1902 IH, two wheats and a '42 merc. plus a lady's watch.

All three houses are owned by the same nice farmer guy. At all of them there was basically only a few goodies hiding and a tiny bit of clad that had accumulated since it was last detected. Oh well, you have to try anyway. It was fun to get out and I didn't get skunked! I am really ready for a site not so pounded though.

Take care and HH - BF

Good to hear from you again!--ALL you got was a 1866 Shield nickel??--The oldest coin I EVER found was an 1874 Shield (but it's sure special to me though).-----Del
