which coil does everyone prefer 9" or 11"

I currently have the 9" coil. I have been wanting to try the 11. For those who own both which one do you use the most? I am just curious.

I never take my 11" off.

The 11 inch coil is really something special. I use both of them. After all changing out coils doen't get any easier. But if I could only pick one I'll take the 11 inch. It covers better. It's deeper. And if I am giving up anything in the unmasking area it has to be very little.

11" for sure.

I use the 9" more than my 11x13. I use the 11x13 in open areas where I need to cover a lot of area fast other than that the 9". I find more in my hard hit sites with the 9" than the 11x13.

The 11 inch coil was redesigned and it lighter and tighter. If I were in a very heavy area with a lot of iron I would use the 9 inch. Depth is not a big factor in heavy iron. But other then that I would use the 9 inch. I would carry both if I didn't know the area.

I had both and although the 11" was very good and was deeper, I really did come to like the 9".

Swinging the 9" was as good as it gets for a coil that size. Practically nothing there.

I found some very deep targets with it. Just as deep as my Etrac when setup right.

You'll really like the 11" so much you might even sell your 13

I have both and have used both. The 11" covers more ground if you are doing a quick general search and need to cover a lot of ground fast but for detailed searches especially in trashy areas the 9" is the winner...I seem to find myself going back to that one quite often. It separates targets better.

I'm spending my first Deus season with the 9. I hunt trashy a lot. But next season an 11!

If you guys are hunting in the heavy iron with those 11" coils you'll be very surprised what you actually pull out with the 9", if I was only going to own 1 coil I would have a 9" the 11" just won't do

11". The seperation is still very good. The weight is still much owed to that of the 9". The additional coverage and slight depth is nice.

I am going down the 9'' route, mainly as a result of back problems and this will be mounted on a carbon fibre straight shaft to keep the weight down to a minimum, coil and controller should be here on Tuesday, also i feel this size coil will work much better on our roman and saxon sites which can be very trashy,so i am thinking the 9'' coil could possibly have better target seperation on these sites.
