Which coil to use

Ok fellas, cold and rainey today thought yall might like a 4.1 break. I have four coils, two LF and two HF. I love the HFs for their combined depth and smoothness where wet ground, emi etc is a problem. But when hunting deep HIGH conductive signals in moderate trash, I'm wondering if a return to a lower frequency LF run at about 12F might actually offer a slight depth boost. thanks. (I also have a FBS machine with great depth which is another option where the trash is tolerable).

Any of the two LF coils using 12F should give you a slight edge over HF coils, not much though. Thinner worn silver dimes or 1/2 dimes may respond better with a HF coil using a higher kHz.

However, FBS is probably the best choice for deep park turf coins, Any of the Explorer FBS models are tough to beat for these type of conditions.

Deus has its strengths for most conditions, but deep park coins FBS has an edge.

HH, Paul
