which coils for quatro

Just bought my Quatro last month. Just read Andy's book today (mastering the quatro) and now I want a larger and a smaller coil. I'm thinking the 15 inch coiltek and the 5 inch sun ray. I want the larger coil for deep hunting in desert (I'm in Nevada) areas, and the smaller coil for high trash areas (ghosttowns, etc.). Any help, opinions, input, suggestions, anything at all, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help and time, mike
 
Hi Mike, Yes I would want the SunRay 5.5" coil for sure in those trashed out areas. The 15" would be ok as long as you have open ground to use it in. I have been using the new 8.5x11.5 Coiltek Platyrus and boy is it sensitive. I really like this coil and seems to go pretty deep. The little SunRay is a neat coil and worth the money. Ok I'm sure there will be many more to advise you and I think the Quattro is a great machine. Enjoy it Mike. God Bless.
