which detector???

First let me say sorry for the length of this post. I have an 11 year old son who I plan on buying a detector for. He has used a detector previously. I think the best choice would be the silent hunt type ( in other words..no noise till you are over a target) The next thing I would want it to have is tone ID ( different tone for different metals). We normally coin shoot at parks and such. My price range is $200-$250. SO my question is which machine do I go with and why. I thank you for any feedback.
