I read many articles about pros and cons on the different metal detectors. Ive seen Whites in action. My three friends use Whites and they always need my help to id the target or would I dig it. I always go over there search sight later and find good targets. My son and I have been in a field hunting and found 1800 and 1804 large cent. Another man showed up with a E-trac and said you won't find anything there I been hunting this area all summer.I've looked at safari and even tested its depth by laying a coin on the ground and putting different number bags of potting soil on top. It wasn't any better the my machines. One thing I noticed about Minelab it tells you if its a coin but not what denomination. Remember its made in Australia and they don't have pennys, nickels ,dimes quarters etc. Ive been in a small playground and found a 1924 silver dollar three inches down. I talk to a man days later he said he found a 1923 silver dollar in the same area about 5 years ago, thought he got it all. Don't know much about the other makes but what I can seen t on youtube they work about the same. My son and I have decided not to encourage people that use other machines to try Garrett. This way we can continue to find missed targets. Isn't that awful. We use 1500,2500, 250 Garrett. Good luck hunting.
