Which small coil for the Explorer II

TXPIRATE

New member
New to the explorer still getting use to it but soon I WANT TO Add a small coil which is the best a lot of the sites I hunt have a ton of trash thanks for your help.

(Edited a typo out for readability..) Guvner..

Definitely a Joey coil. I love mine and wouldn't part with it for any money. This coil has redeemed itself over and over by having super separation in trashy areas, and by not losing out on an ability to dig deep targets. I've had tremendous luck even in areas that have been POUNDED by other detectorists. This coil is light and is a woods hunting fool. No problem getting this thing in an around deep cover. The only thing I've had to watch out for is that it doesn't really like to get wet. Other than that.....no worries. I think this coil may be highly underrated by other diggers. It'd be hard to go wrong with the Joey !

I'd go with the EXcelerator 5" coil, I ordered one with my Explorer II because of great reviews from friends, and it goes DEEP and it's VERY lightweight.

A post titled " Joey vs Platipus your experience Please !". Read the threads under that post. I think you will get some good info there.
